DANCE WORKSHOP
“I loved the low key but VERY INFORMATIVE, successful,
class and practice. Thanks Alejandro!!! I want MORE of those musicality lessons" (Thuy Carroll. Gainesville, Florida. Oct. 2017) |
“Thank you, Alejandro, for coming to Merida, for sharing your PASSION for
tango with us, and for having FUN together during your dance workshop. We want to see you again soon!" (La Guapa Tango en Merida -Feb. 2015) |
(Sessions of various lenghts)
"My specialty is to teach musicality and interpretation of the dance from the musician's perspective: What to listen for, how to incorporate your dance moves to the music, where to put your step, how to work the pauses, breathing, and connection to your partner.
I don't teach overly elaborate footwork. Instead, I focus on a true connection between music and dance, a solid embrace, a clear lead." |

For the novice, for the curious, for the enthusiast. NO experience or partner required, although gender balance is preferred. These classes are fun, encourage participation, boost confidence, burn calories, and develop friendships beyond the classroom.
The dance workshop is one of the most hands-on learning activities offered by Maestro Tango. In these classes, students learn the rudiments of tango dancing. They learn how to "walk" together (which in Argentine tango is equivalent to dance), they get acquainted with the basic dance vocabulary and start developing the elements of the dance technique and embrace.
I love learning and teaching, but I like it even more when I can share my discoveries with people who are passionate and eager to learn.Technique learned in this class prepares students for the "real deal" at a true Milonga.
